Catherine O’Chancey is a reserved, demure, and graceful submissive. All traits she trained hard to enhance when she discovered the world of Dominance and submission in college. In an attempt to start fresh after the unexpected death of her last Dom, Catherine moves to Dallas, TX to escape the shroud of darkness he left behind in her life. She has tried to fight the need that resides deep within her to submit, but finally has to admit she can’t for it is not a choice, but part of who she truly is. After months of mental preparation, she ventures back into the lifestyle by attending a coveted open-night event at Dungeons and Dreams, an exclusive BDSM club.
I mean. Whoa.
I demolished this book in a few hours, it was just that good. It took me 2.5 days to read the entire trilogy – and it only took me that long because I wasn’t home for most of the second day!
Catherine is a sub that has been hurt by a previous Dom but knows that she needs the Lifestyle to put herself back together. Jayden is a Dom who is looking for a sub that fits his needs. Together, these two heal wounds that will leave you gasping for air.
This book was an incredibly intimate look at what the Lifestyle can truly be. I absolutely loved it. The truth rang out so clearly in this book that I truly wonder how anyone could have enjoyed 50 Shades of Grey. 50 Shades paled in comparison to this book series.
I was absolutely shocked at the reality this book portrayed. The truth is that many people think that the relationship between a D/s is simply abuse. To Serve is Divine actually explains a lot of things that many people don’t understand about the relationship. Jayden and Erin are so attentive to each other’s needs and Jayden is so incredibly protective of Catherine’s mental and physical health that it’s breath taking.
This book is a MUST read if you’re curious about the D/s Lifestyle. It’s an amazing read on it’s own but I walked out with an awareness I didn’t know I was missing.
Over the past year of being Jayden Masterson’s collared submissive, Catherine O’Chancey has worked through the mental terrors left behind by her old Dom—she thinks. To celebrate their collaring anniversary, Jayden organizes a special day, during which her final limits and fantasies will be realized. Will it prove to be more than she can handle? Can she endure the erotic onslaught her mind and body will experience and survive unscathed?
A Divine Life is a good look at some of the more intense scenes that are possible. We get a deeper look at what some Doms specialize in and how each D/s relationship is different. I liked this book in a different way than To Serve Is Divine. It was incredibly informative and I feel like RE Hargrave did a ton of research. Everything is handled so well, down to the very end. That last scene could have been a deal breaker for anyone but damn was it amazing.

This book is perfect.
Catherine/Erin absolutely OWN this book. There’s a moment…in the club…and I cried. She was so amazing and powerful. She FINALLY demolished her past. This book allowed me to breathe and I was completely okay saying goodbye to these characters. I wasn’t worried that Catherine/Erin wouldn’t be ok. I finally knew that she had gotten absolutely everything she ever deserved.
Jayden is absolutely wonderful and adorable in this book. And the happiness that is shown to be shared by the group was stunning. I absolutely grew to love all but a couple characters. You’ll know who I’m talking about when you get there.
R.E. Hargrave tied up this series perfectly and I am so incredibly happy to have read it, even if the resulting book hangover sucks. There really isn’t anything I can say that will do this series (and author!) justice. Just…buy it. SERIOUSLY.

*WARNING* do NOT read the end if you have makeup on! I finished this one immediately after applying date night makeup and I regretted it! Applying the makeup that is!
Lacey and Trent are adorable and sweet and move at such a beautiful pace. Throw in that fun tween Candy and it’s a delightful mess! The ONLY thing I wanted to see what Lacey’s revelation to Trent (You’ll know if you’ve read it…if you haven’t, I’m not spoiling it!). That was a moment I was sooo looking forward to. Hargrave did an absolutely fantastic job handling the emotions and responsibilities of a single mom. Cheers to Lacey for persevering and creating her own thriving business.
Hargrave wrote an absolutely beautiful story that really is Sugar and Spice. LOVE this author!

Hargrave gets right to it in this short and naughty new story. Heather and Cody are delightfully spunky and you immediately feel for them when tragedy strikes. Cody’s fantasy is fulfilled on what may be his last birthday with the help of Suzanne, the new girl in town. Sparks fly the moment Heather and Suzanne meet, making her the perfect partner.
Glad it was a short read because once I stopped, there was no way I could put it down! R.E. Hargrave is DEFINITELY an author to watch! She is on my short list of BUY IMMEDIATELY authors!!
